BTW, when i said using polymer clay the "right" way, i meant that most of you guys who use it don't tend to paint it 
we use kneaditte clays and polymers, like the mentioned Greenstuff. They are much easier to work with for extremley subtle details (you can't actually sculpt 6mm skulls with polymer clay that easily xD), and when they harden up they're perfect for casting and painting over. Polymer clay... not so much, it's a great medium for using on its own but i am not sure how it will react with the paints, washes and glues we use.
